Why yes, just earlier this afternoon Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer did, in fact, present Drake Berehowsky, new head coach of local pro hockey team the Orlando Solar Bears, a key to the city.
And since being named the ring leader of the Solar Bears' comeback to Orlando, not only have we been impressed by Berehowsky's playing cred (He's a retired Canadian defenceman, with NHL experience with teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Vancouver Canucks.), but we can't help but fawn over his dashing hock-jock looks – the just-enough gelled tresses, the tapered physique, those pearly whites.
The Solar Bears start their season on October 20 and will play 36 home games at Amway Center. Season tickets can be purchased now ($225-$1480) by visiting the team's website.
We suggest the rink-side seats for prime game-watching and coach-gawking action. Drake Berehowsky's hunky looks might melt our hearts, but we also look forward to the Solar Bears keeping up a fiery game on the ice this season.
