Opening in Orlando -- June 29th, 2012

Magic Mike -- Warner Bros. has elected to push Steven Soderbergh’s male-stripper saga with the tag line “You’ll wish you were single.” Right -- now remind me again how it’s the homos who are undermining the institution of marriage? Anyway, star Channing Tatum was once an ecdysiast himself, but what’s really raised expectation for his performance are the surprising acting chops he showed in 21 Jump Street. Ted --I’ve already seen Seth MacFarlane’s talking-teddy comedy, and I’d love to tell you exactly what I thought of it. But you’ll have to wait until tomorrow, since Universal decided they really didn’t want another day’s worth of positive P.R. (hint hint hint!), even with Spider-Man threatening to dominate the conversation in less than a week.
