OnePulse Foundation seeks public input on Pulse memorial

As Orlando still heals from Pulse a year and a half later, local leaders are starting to have discussions on what to do with the site of the massacre. One such discussion will take place this weekend as the onePULSE Foundation starts its series of community meetings to get the public’s input on the future memorial dedicated to the lives lost in the 2016 mass shooting at the gay nightclub. A task force from the organization and Pulse owner Barbara Poma will lead the hour-long conversations that will take place in Orlando and Kissimmee over the next few months. The organization plans to honor the 49 victims, survivors, families and first responders with a permanent memorial and museum. People who attend the meeting this weekend will get an update on the results of an online survey and an overview of what the interim memorial will look like. There will also be an opportunity to provide ideas and ask questions about the project.
