Dr. Phillips-area residents: You no longer need to hike to downtown Orlando to take advantage of coworking space. There's a new shared workspace, called Hub 925, that recently opened at 7594 Sand Lake Road in the Venezia Plaza (upstairs from Starbucks). People interested in shared workspace can drop in (no contract needed) for $45 per day ($25 per half day) and use the space and its amenities (coffee, tea, wifi, printing), or you can sign up for a monthly deal for $540 a month and get a business address, limited use of the conference room and a few other perks.
Sign up for a monthly package in January and you'll get 50 percent off your first month. We do want to know, though: Who gets dibs on that couch-tunnel workspace in the back? Is it reserved? First-come, first-served?
