Here is this year's running list of all the creepiest haunts, most fright-tastic film events and spookiest soirees this Halloween season in the greater Orlando area. We'll be adding more events to this blog … when you least expect it! Read on, if you dare.

Through Oct. 31
The Audubon Center gets in the spooky spirit with a "Skeleton Extravaganza" exhibit of avian bones and a spooky scavenger hunt. Free admission for those showing up in costume on Oct. 31 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Audubon Center for Birds of Prey, 1101 Audubon Way, Maitland, cbop.audubon.org, $8.

Disney After Hours Halloween Boo Bash
The Bash begins after the park closes and runs for three hours, with Halloween-themed cavalcades, character sightings and more. Magic Kingdom Park, Walt Disney World, disneyparks.disney.go.com, 407-939-4240, $129-$199.

Halloween Horror Nights
Universal's Halloween centerpiece event returns for a landmark 30th year with ghouls old and new. Universal Orlando Resort, 6000 Universal Blvd., universalorlando.com, $71-$285.

Six scary haunts, zombie paintball, a midway and a beer garden add up to a lot of spooky-season bang for your buck. 27839 Saint Joe Road, Dade City, screamageddon.com, $28-$102, paintball add-on $11-$20.

Scream n' Stream
This self-drive interactive dark ride lets passengers shoot laser-tag guns at legions of zombies, clowns and big effing monsters. Oviedo Mall, 1700 Oviedo Mall Blvd., Oviedo, screamnstream.com, $52-$85 per car.

The Busch Gardens Tampa Halloween mainstay comes to thrill and chill Orlando for the first time. SeaWorld, 7007 Sea World Drive, seaworld.com, $42-$130.

Fathom Events Fright Fest
Fathom's Fright Fest brings an eclectic slate of horror films to participating theaters in the Orlando area, including Dracula, Carrie and Evil Dead. Various times and days, various theaters, fathomevents.com, prices vary.

Sept. 30-Nov. 7
The Haunted Road
Locally grown drive-through Halloween experience is back for another season, with a thematic departure from last year's scary fairy tales. 15239 Lake Pickett Road, thehauntedroad.com, $10.99-$16.99.

A Petrified Forest
Stalwart and terrifying local haunt returns yet again, promising an all-new "scare trail" worth of frights. 1360 E. Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, apetrifiedforest.com, $29.50-$48.50

Enzian Theater's 13 Films of Halloween
From seminal Troma productions to pulpy grindhouse to flicks for the kiddies, this year's 13 Film of Halloween has something for pretty much all scare thresholds. Various times and days, Enzian Theater, 1300 S. Orlando Ave., Maitland, enzian.org, $9-$12.

Friday, Oct. 8
Horror in Headphones
Local theater company Phoenix Tears puts on a terrifying immersive audio experience at, yes, Santa's Farm. 7 p.m., Santa's Farm and Christmas Tree Forest, 35317 Huff Road, Eustis, phoenixtearsproductions.com, $20-$40.

Oct. 9-31
Gators, Ghosts and Goblins
Meet Gatorland's lovable Skunk Ape, search for hidden cryptids, and enter the Swamp Ghost's lair. Saturdays and Sundays, Gatorland, 14501 S. Orange Blossom Trail, gatorland.com, included in admission.

The Night Market returns to Audubon Park, with live music, a free costume contest for humans and dogs (well-behaved, vaccinated and leashed required), and a free outdoor showing of Clue. 5-10 p.m., Audubon Park Garden District, helloapgd.com, free.

Halloween Lights at Jeater Bend
A long-time Celebration resident orchestrates the stunning light and decoration display on 11 Celebration homes and collects donations and canned food for local families in need. Jeater Bend Drive, Celebration, facebook.com/lightsonjeaterbend, free/donation.

Thursday, Oct. 21
12th Annual Día de los Muertos & Monster Event
Themed exhibit with Day of the Dead and Halloween-inspired art and an outdoor soiree. 5 p.m., CityArts, orlandoslice.com, $5.

Spooky Empire
Local horror convention returns with a formidable lineup of guests including wrestler Mick Foley, Lance Henriksen, Kathy Najimy, Robert "Freddy" Englund and a whole host of his onscreen victims, Freddie Prinze Jr. and more. Winter Garden Halloween
Experience Halloween light shows, street performers, a hay maze, holiday-themed photo stations, decorations and lights displays, and much more. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Winter Garden City Hall, 300 W. Plant St., Winter Garden, cwgdn.com, free.

Oct. 23-24, Oct. 29
Paranormal Investigations at the Waterhouse
For years, people have shared stories of moving furniture, flickering lights and disembodied voices at the Victorian Waterhouse Residence on Lake Lily. To explore these mysteries, Art & History Museums of Maitland has partnered with American Ghost Adventures — and they’re bringing you along to help with the investigation! Zoo Boo Bash
Not-so-scary way for kids and families to show off Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat amongst the zoo's flora and fauna. Saturday-Sunday, Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens, 3755 W. Seminole Blvd., Sanford, centralfloridazoo.org, included in admission.

Halloween Horror Fights

Thursday, Oct. 28

Bahia Shrine Halloween Scare House

Hitchcock Blonde Halloween
Bewitching ballet meets the Master of Suspense, featuring Alfred Hitchcock’s most iconic films: Rear Window, Vertigo, The Birds, Psycho, North by Northwest and To Catch a Thief, with breathtaking authentic re-creations of fashions worn by Grace Kelly, Tippi Hedren, Kim Novak and more. Freak Show Horror Film Festival

Classic Retro Monster Bash

Rocky Horror Picture Show
Interactive viewing of the ’75 sci-fi horror musical/gender-bending rock opera featuring the Rich Weirdos shadow cast. Break out your fishnet stockings, stilettos, and red lipstick. '90s Zombie Raver Invasion!
We'll choose to believe this event is an homage to the Return of the Living Dead sequel Rave to the Grave, in which ravers get dosed with zombie-making trioxin.
