Culture Pop art by Cicero Greathouse
6:30-10 p.m. Friday, 10 | Art and History Museums – Maitland, 231 E. Packwood Ave., Maitland | 407-539-2181 | artandhistory.org | $5
This month’s artsy meat market celebrates the opening of two new exhibitions, Cicero Greathouse: Hybrids and Artist in Residence TWO: Leigh Tarentino. Greathouse’s works are a series of print works inspired by A&H founder André Smith, and Tarentino’s pieces were created during her stint at the museum. There will be an interactive printing activity led by Chris Ware, a Q&A led by chief curator Rebecca Sexton Larson and a tour of the current exhibitions. Gilding the lily, Literature Out Loud will feature readings from past Kerouac House resident Caitlin Doyle and current writer-in-residence poet Annemarie Ni Churreain, and, as always, plenty of booze and live music will keep the conversation flowing.
