Last week in this space, we promised to keep you up to date on the development of Urban ReThink in Thornton Park, which announced that it’d be reconfiguring its space and reopening in early 2011. The group told us it wasn’t quite ready to unveil its plans, but the Orlando Sentinel managed to pry some information from them. Well, from Craig Ustler, at least, who told the paper that the new Urban ReThink would become part of the coworking trend, offering a shared work space for independent computer programmers, writers, designers and other creatives to do their (respective) things. One of the new tenants, for lack of a better term for the people who’ll be populating Urban ReThink, is Burrow Press, a small independent publishing house – so small, in fact, that if you click the link on its website to see the books the little imprint has published, right now there’s only one listed: Who’s That? Discovering Orlando one Interview at a Time by Jana Waring, a book of interviews with random people living in the city, ranging from Mayor Buddy Dyer to the sales director of Gatorland to Waring’s grandfather. Burrow recently solicited submissions for an anthology of short stories by Florida writers called Fragmentation + other stories. For more information on Burrow Press, check burrowpress.com.
