Bronze Kingdom, the gallery of African and African-American art in the likely doomed Fashion Square Mall, is celebrating a year of business in its current location this Saturday, May 18. It's a great time to check it out, as the gallery, which normally costs $12 for an adult admission, will be free to browse all day long. From 6-10 p.m., the actual birthday party takes place, with music, food and drinks provided. Admission to the party is still free, but an RSVP is required at their Eventbrite page. Hopefully we'll hear about the gallery's contingency plans if developer Unicorp succeeds in its plan to tear down the mall soon.
