Florida Opera Theatre ( continues their mission of making the art form more accessible with a “stripped-down” presentation of Bizet’s Carmen (as reinterpreted by famed director Peter Brook) at Trinity Prep Oct. 17 and 19. Director Eric Pinder, who collaborated with fight director Bill Warriner, says, “People know the music from Carmen, but to experience it without the trappings of ‘grand opera’ makes the drama more raw and sensual. It’s just 80 minutes with supertitles to follow the action.”
