Alchemy Salon's Endless Summer pop-up takes over Orange Studio early next week

One thing about perennial Best of Orlando winner Alchemy Hair Salon: They never pass up an excuse to elevate the everyday. Some salons might look at having to close for two days as a bummer, or, at best, an excuse to take two days off.

Not Alchemy. While their College Park building is being tented for two days on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 29-30, they're taking over the Orange Studio (1121 N. Mills Ave.) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and presenting a mini-flea that will gather up some of Orlando's best food trucks, artists, makers and of course stylists.

Alchemy stylists will be giving cuts for just $25 (normally $70; call 650-8022 for reservation) and Porch Therapy, the garden decor/florist/plant shop at East End Market, will decorate their stations. Lineage coffee and New Moon Market juices will be available in the mornings, and you can wash down food from La Empanada Truck and Sushi and Seoul On the Roll with cocktails by Courtesy Bar in the afternoons and evenings.

Other vendors include Doug Rhodehamel (art/mobiles), Lure Paper Goods (posters/cards/stationery), Hellcats Inc. (enamel pins/bandanas/cards), Please Evolve (patches/T-shirts) and more.
