The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg is opening three new exhibits this June, and they are worth the drive for Orlando art lovers.

The museum will showcase a selection of "rarely seen" cast bronzes from their permanent collection June 6 through Nov. 2 in Bronzes From the Vault. Salvador Dalí was commissioned to create the original sculptures by publisher Isidro Clot in the 1970s, according to the museum's website. In addition, four enlarged versions of Dalí's sculptures will be exhibited in the museum's "Avant-garden."

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Dalí's "masterworks" using augmented reality from June 15 to Nov. 3 in Visual Magic: Masterworks AR. The "masterworks" — Dalí's paintings that exceed five feet in height — will come to life when viewed using the Dalí Museum app. Complimentary mobile devices will be available to use for those who do not have one.

The work of Francisco Jose de Goya y Lucientes will be showcased from June 15 to Nov. 3 in Before Dali — Goya: Visions & Inventions. The exhibit includes two rotating collections of first-edition prints and three significant Goya paintings. Goya's art influenced Dalí's early works, and is considered by scholars to be the basis of modern art, according to the museum's website.

Visitors will also be able to learn about Dalí's artwork from the artist himself through an AI experience called "Dalí Lives," which opened this month. Visitors will be able to interact with a life-sized likeness of the artist on screens throughout the museum. This likeness of Dalí welcomes visitors to the museum, explains his motivations and takes a selfie with them before they leave, according to a press release.
