The therapy dogs at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland got their own page in the yearbook this year.

The therapy dogs have been described as an integral part of the school since a gunman killed 17 students and staff last year.

The dogs attend class, give students handshakes in the hallways and even went to this year's prom.

"After the shooting we wanted that yearbook to be perfect and had to cover as much as possible," the yearbook's rising editor-in-chief Caitlynn Tibbetts told Buzzfeed News. "This year, we wanted to give proper representation of our school and who we are now without giving so much focus to what happened to us in the past. The therapy dogs are the one thing from last year that is permanent and positive."

This year, the therapy dogs helped students and faculty through false alarms, the news of suicides of two Parkland teens and the one-year anniversary of the shooting.

"Seeing them is something we look forward to every day," Tibbetts said. "These dogs are going to be there until the last of us are gone."
