The Spooky Empire convention is leaving Orlando and moving to a bigger space in Tampa this fall.

Organizers say the fall 2019 convention will be at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin St., from Thursday, Oct. 31, to Sunday, Nov. 3.

"Due to an increase in size and scope of logistics, the Spooky Empire team was unable to locate spaces in Orlando large enough, that also had available dates this year, to host the growing 'dark side of comic con,'" Spooky Empire organizers said in a statement. "For the last 18 years, Florida has always been home to the convention, so Tampa allows them to stay true to their roots while also remaining close to home for 2019."

Spooky Empire recently held the spring iteration of their convention in March at the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
