Super Rico Colombian Bistro closes downtown Orlando restaurant for renovations until May

One of downtown Orlando's most popular lunch spots, Super Rico Colombian Bistro, is closing their restaurant for renovations and depriving us all of their addictive salchipapas for a while.

In a Facebook post, Super Rico owners say the spot at 57 W. Central Blvd. will be closed starting Monday, April 22.

"Super Rico is expanding," the post says. "We will be closed for construction and remodeling."

The Colombian restaurant adds that "new and greater things are coming to Super Rico in the coming weeks."

"Stay tuned on our social media for our grand opening date May of 2019," the Facebook post says.

Super Rico could be closed for at least two weeks, according to the restaurant's Facebook. In the meantime, make plans to try their new Tres Leches dessert and Maracuya mousse when they open up again in May.
