As part of the company's expansion plans, Knox Medical has announced the opening of a new medical marijuana dispensary Tuesday in Casselberry.

Current and future medical cannabis patients can go to the open house at noon on April 16 at 487 Semoran Blvd. where Knox Medical employees will be on hand to help patients navigate the company's products, according to a news release.

Florida residents who aren't currently registered with the Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use are also welcome to attend.

The new dispensary is the company's 12th facility among its national network. Knox Medical has operated in Florida since 2016, including dispensaries in Gainesville, Tallahassee, Jacksonville and Clearwater. The company also serves patients in Texas, Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico.

"Knox Medical is working with Florida's top architects and designers to create a cohesive dispensary experience that puts the needs and interests of our patients first," says Knox Medical founder and CEO José Hidalgo. "At every stage in the process, from cultivation to processing, and now to dispensing superior quality medicines at these state-of-the-art facilities, our objective at Knox Medical is to redefine excellence in the medicinal cannabis field at every level."
