Remember the last time a big-name Cajun band rolled through Orlando? Exactly. They don’t very often. That’s why this concert is an imperative for traditional folk music aficionados. Led by Grammy-winning master accordionist Steve Riley, the Mamou Playboys – themselves a four-time Grammy nominated outfit – have been carrying the proud musical torch of French Louisiana for over 30 years. Their decorated take on traditional Cajun music is a refined sound that honors heritage with both craft and spirit, never compromising either.
