Gun-toting Orlando cat lover hisses 'don't fuck with me' at woman who asked her to stop feeding strays

An Orlando woman was arrested last week after police say she pulled a gun on a resident who asked her to stop feeding stray cats in the Lake Sunset neighborhood.

Orlando Police say a neighbor was sitting on her porch on March 30 around 5:30 a.m. when she saw a silver Nissan Altima stop on West South Street. The driver, Lisa Saunders, 55, got out of the car and started putting loose cat food on the sidewalk, according to an arrest affidavit.

The resident asked Saunders to stop leaving out the cat food because, she said, it attracts sick cats. Orange County Animal Services has been leaving out traps to catch the sick animals for months, but Saunders has been feeding the cats away from the traps, the neighbor told officers.

That's when Saunders allegedly went back to her car and pulled out a black handgun.

"Don't fuck with me," Saunders told the woman, the arrest affidavit says.

Saunders then got back in her car and drove away.

The resident told officers she recognized Saunders from her job delivering pizzas for Domino's Pizza on Bruton Boulevard. When police asked the Domino's manager if he has an employee who puts cat food on the ground in surrounding neighborhoods for strays, he said, "Yes, it's Lisa."

The manager also told officers that Saunders has been leaving cat food everywhere for about two years, according to the affidavit.

Saunders was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and is currently being held at the Orange County jail on a $10,000 bond.
