A federal arrest won't stop former Donald Trump advisor Roger Stone from addressing the Florida Federation of College Republicans at an undisclosed location in Central Florida this weekend.

Stone will be among other "Republican activists" who will speak at the event on Saturday, April 6, according to a Eventbrite ticket page. However, attendees will have to wait to hear by email where the venue location will be.

We reached out to the Florida Federation of College Republicans for further clarification of Stone's role, and why the organization decided to book a federally indicted speaker in the first place.

"Roger Stone has spent the better part of four decades involved in American politics electing freedom fighters like Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump," says Luke Strominger, secretary of the FFCS. "He was also actively involved in Republican youth efforts during his rise, so it's an entirely appropriate fit. Mr. Stone has been targeted by a rogue prosecutor on a series of process crimes that have nothing to do with collusion."

Stone, who has insisted he's innocent, is currently awaiting trial on Nov. 5 for charges alleging that he lied about his efforts to secretly contact WikiLeaks during the 2016 presidential election. He's pleaded not guilty to the seven charges of obstruction of justice, lying to Congress and witness tampering brought against him, and was released on bail following his arrest earlier in Florida this year.
