There was a time when a rapper named Pitbull seemed kinda scary, but then we all discovered that the much-maligned pit bull dog breed is actually loving, affectionate and cuddly. Similarly, Pitbull, aka Armando Pérez aka Mr. 305 aka Mr. Worldwide, has seen his public persona change from scrappy Latin hip-hop upstart to that of a guy who provides voices for kids’ animated films or teams up with Walmart to visit the store that gets the most Facebook likes. But even though this Pitbull has been defanged, we can’t help but think he’s a vewwy good boy since he’s consistently used his celebrity for good causes, like ferrying cancer patients on his private plane from Puerto Rico to the mainland in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Call in a favor with your friend who works at Universal for the chance to see him play underneath a big red rollercoaster this weekend.
