UCF is kicking off its massive "UCF Celebrates the Arts" festival at the Dr. Phillips Center in just a few weeks, and amidst the cornucopia of entertainment on offer over the ten days of the fest, one performer in particular knocked us off our feet. The Dr. Phil will be playing host to Brazilian music legend and innovator Sérgio Mendes!

The composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist has been making music since the beginning of the 1960s, and made his name with his iconic ensemble Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66, a group that simultaneously pushed the boundaries of Latin pop and raked in hit after hit.

Sergio Mendes plays the Dr. Phillips for the Performing Arts' Walt Disney Theater on Saturday, April 13, at p.m. Tickets start at $39.50.
