Welcome to Orlando Weekly's "Band of the Week." Every week, we highlight one of our favorite local bands. This week, we're pleased to bring you Throwin Up.

Throwin Up are playing March 7 at Grumpy's with Gillian Carter, Infant Island, and Forms.

Fun. Fast. Ugly. Rock n’ Roll!!!

What has been your most memorable show so far?
Grumpy’s with Alien Witch, Formaldehydra, Bongus, Suburban Drive, and Surface Dwellers.

Which local band is your favorite one to play a show with?
Alien Witch. We love to see what Dee has been working on and always bring something fresh to each performance.

What description gets used for your band that you would most
like to correct people on? Why?
Some people say we’re not very good, but we’re pretty good.

What’s your favorite thing about being an Orlando band? What's your least favorite? Why?
The fact that it is central lends itself to opportunities with diverse acts around Florida.

Any big news to share?
We’re putting out an EP via Bandcamp in the near future.
