Welcome to Orlando Weekly's "Band of the Week." Every week, we highlight one of our favorite local bands. This week, we're pleased to bring you Lush Agave.

Lush Agave is playing March 3 at Will's Pub with Molly Nilsson and Burnt Hair.

Just the facts:

When did the band form?
I formed Lush Agave in 2013 initially as a one-time performance project and it expanded from there.

Who's in the band?
Just me, Alisha Erao. I play synthesizers and vocals.

Currently available releases:
Right, now I only have a demo of my song “Madame” on Bandcamp. However, I’m releasing a debut EP this year!

Describe your sound in five words:
Emotional choir girl finds synths.

Five questions:

What has been your most memorable show so far?
There are too many special ones to choose! If we’re talking Orlando shows, I could say this show at Sandwich Bar in 2017. I played with some of the greats – Mother Juno, Secret Boyfriend and I_Like_Dog_Face. My friend Claire was visiting and performed with me doing these amazing movements.

Which local band is your favorite one to play a show with?
J.A.S.O.N., because duh. He makes everyone in the room at least 85% sexier when he performs.

What description gets used for your band that you would most
like to correct people on? Why?
I don’t really feel the need to correct descriptions. People will relate to this in different ways and I’m here for all of it.

What’s your favorite thing about being an Orlando band? What's your least favorite? Why?
My favorite thing about being an Orlando band is the beautiful communities of musicians I’ve seen over the years. People come up with truly unique and inspiring projects here and it feels sincere. My least favorite thing is that as of February 1, I’m no longer an Orlando musician :(

Any big news to share?
I have plans to release a music video for one of my songs in the next month. Soon to follow will be my EP, Songs for a Moon.
