If you didn’t have a chance to bust it open for Big Freedia last year when she was in Orlando, you’ve got one more chance to impress her majesty, the Queen Diva. The pioneer of New Orleans bounce is coming back to the City Beautiful for another night of exemplary twerking, seasoned ass-jiggling and queer femme freedom at the Abbey. Big Freedia’s latest album, Third Ward Bounce, is a solid continuation of the booty-popping anthems she’s known for – especially the anti-fuccboi lead single, “Rent,” with the savage lines, “Bitch I’m your landlord/Don’t got no remorse/Pack all your bags boy/You don’t live here no more.” Get your ticket now – missing a Freedia show twice is actually a crime, we hear.
