The Gratitude Coffee truck that has been serving College Park outside Cavanaugh’s Fine Wines or in the lot of Daisy's Flowers is looking to give up its wheels in exchange for a traditional storefront.

Jen Hackney, who has been operating the truck for three years, has asked the city for permission to set up shop at 1307 Edgewater Drive in a 375-square-foot space.

“The three years I’ve been open, I’ve learned how difficult a truck is and I’ve also built a great customer following,” Hackney told the Orlando Sentinel. “It’s a perfect tiny spot, and I will sell used books, succulents, locally made candles, crafts, art, and coffee and pastries.”

Hackney says she has always wanted her own brick-and-mortar shop, but didn't have the funds and didn't want to bring in a business partner. Now, after years of hustling from a truck, she's ready to stay put in a location of her own.

The new shop is located just two buildings away from Cavanaugh’s, where Hackney started parking her mobile coffeehouse back in 2015.
