Miami post-punk quartet Donzii darkens the door of Lil Indies this weekend

Local soundclash collective the Grand Collab takes a turn for the dark and visceral this week, conjuring up the Miami post-punk quartet Donzii for an evening of crepuscular rhythms and atmospheres. A relatively new project out of the same fertile Miami underground from whence projects as varied as Dracula and Other Body have sprung, Donzii combines the overcast sensibilities of Belgrado and This Heat with the angular grooves of James Chance and DNA. There’s a new EP just out from Grey Market, and a current run of live shows throughout the South that attest to stygian quality. The usually intimate Indies will become as cold as a crypt for this one. And it’s free.
