Electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling and dark rock band Evanescence have announced a surprising co-headlining amphitheater tour set for this summer. The pairing plans a North American run of dates where each will play full sets backed by an orchestra. Though Orlando didn't get a date on this tour, nearby Tampa did.

The seeds for this jaunt were sown last year when Stirling and Evanescence collaborated on "Hi-Lo," a standout track from Evanescence's recent Synthesis album.

Lindsey Stirling and Evanescence play the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Friday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 9.
