The now-yearly garage rock fest for the discerning crate digger – don’t go casually name-dropping Black Keys or White Stripes here unless you want a “salsa made in New York City” moment – is an impressive level-up from last year’s event. We’re not saying they were slouching in the music department, but the devil is in the details and the horned one’s fingerprints are everywhere. Entry gets you an actual bag of goodies, WFMU’s infamous Ichiban crew are taking a road trip to DJ the shindig, our own Nadeem Khan is hosting, and the Saturday night is headlined by the Phantom Surfers, a shadowy supergroup with members also doing time in the Mummies and the Ogres. And if you know ANYTHING about Orlando Weekly at all, you should know that we are suckers for monster-themed surf rock done by delinquents in domino masks. Untamed Youth, Baby Shakes, the Improbables, the Hall Monitors and the Othermen also loom large, aided by a heavy cast of locals. Get hip.

with Untamed Youth, the Phantom Surfers, Baby Shakes, the Delusionaires, the Woolly Bushmen, the Blind Owls and more | 6 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Feb. 16-17 | Will’s Pub, 1042 N. Mills Ave. | willspub.org | $30-$50
