Bring your four-legged family members and come pet puppers for a cause. Paws in the Park, the annual fundraiser put on by the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, raises funds to support the 8,000 homeless dogs in Central Florida. The event kicks off with a bubble release memorial commemorating lost furry friends, followed by a walk led by Commissioner Patty Sheehan and the Central Florida Sounds of Freedom Band and Color Guard. Other events include a best-in-show contest with celebrity judges, an owner and dog look-alike contest, and best trick and sit-and-stay competitions. There are other activities throughout the day for dogs and humans alike, including vendors, food trucks and booze (for humans only).
