The corner College Park space formerly known as Croissant Gourmet, now called Tartine Wine Bar & Eaterie, will debut its new breakfast and lunch menu today. Chef Pete Morales, who recently helmed F&D Kitchen and Bar in Lake Mary, is the new top man in the back of the house. Correction: Husband-wife chef duo Jaimie Wikeen and Josh Martin are running the kitchen. Both have extensive restaurant experience.

The new breakfast selections are greatly edited, amounting to about 12 options. But don't worry, chef Francois Cahagne's pastries aren't going anywhere.

A dinner menu is in the works, featuring what Jaimie tells us they think of as "French grandmother cooking" with a Southern twist. Starting Feb. 1, the restaurant will be open until 10 p.m. For now, they'll open just a tad later (8 a.m.) and keep the same closing time (3 p.m.).

The newly redesigned space eschews the former light-and-airy boulangerie vibe for a moodier, "sexier" milieu, including an exposed brick wall and black paint with a chalk-paint illustration delineating France's major wine-producing regions.

Bottles of wine start at $24 and are available for sipping until the restaurant closes at 3 p.m. The new espresso machine and coffee from Julius Meinl are already in working order. French biers and cidres are already on offer.

The Croissant Gourmet on Park Avenue in Winter Park will keep its branding.
