Emerald City Cabaret must be in an optimistic mood since the New Year, since they’re devoting their next burlesque show to the concept of the future. If it were us planning a show about the future, it’d just be a bunch of radioactive mutants crying tears of blood on a dusty stage lit only by a trash fire. But these ladies are better than us when it comes to entertaining, theming their routines around classic science fiction. Set phasers to “stunning.”

9 p.m. Saturday; The Venue, 511 Virginia Drive; $15-$20; thevenueorlando.com
