Here in Florida, spotting a gator while golfing is not that unusual, but coming across a massive python battling a gator isn't exactly par for the course.

Last week, Naples resident Richard Nadler and his friends witnessed a beast of a gator and a Burmese python engaged in apex predator combat at the Fiddler's Creek golf course.

"Wild day on the 10th hole today!" wrote Nadler in a Facebook post. "The alligator seems to have the upper hand."

According to WKMG, the golfers played through and didn't stick around to see who won the fight, which is unfortunate. But it looked as though the gator had the advantage, with the snake's tail in its mouth.

It's worth noting that there are an estimated 150,000 Burmese pythons in Florida, which are not native, and that gators often lose to these invasive snakes. Last year, a video surfaced of a 15-foot python effortlessly taking down a Florida gator.
