The Orlando Police Department says a man was rescued last night after he stole a swan boat at Lake Eola and then marooned himself on the fountain.

At around 3:30 a.m., the man, whose identity has yet to be released, successfully made it to the Linton E. Allen Memorial fountain on the stolen swan. However, things went south when the swan boat drifted away and he resorted to screaming for help.

According to WFTV, Orlando firefighters successfully rescued the man and said he may have been "under the influence of something."

Orlando Police spokeswoman Michelle Guido says the man was then taken to the hospital for evaluation.

OPD has yet to release the report or say if any charges have been filed, but we'll update the story when we have it.

It's also worth noting that the fountain is a Pokémon gym.
