This Florida panther does not care for the actions of men

A hunter in the Cypress National Preserve recently came across a full-grown and very rare Florida panther, who showed no interest in the comings and goings of humans.

According to WOFL, the above video was shot by Fred Lehman in the Bear Island area of the preserve. Lehman says the panther was only about three yards away when they crossed paths. As you can see, this panther does not care about mankind.

Stumbling upon a critically endangered panther in the wild is a rarity, to say the least. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission estimates that there are only 120-230 remaining in Florida.

This year, 28 Florida documented panthers have died. Of those deaths, 23 were caused by automobiles.
