Not a drill: Publix now delivers booze straight to your door

Posted By on Wed, Nov 22, 2017 at 8:31 PM

Just when you thought you couldn't love Publix more than you already do, they pull at your alcoholic heartstrings by offering to deliver liquor straight to your door.

Through Instacart, the Lakeland-based supermarket chain will now send spirits, beer, wine, mixers and other booze-related products from Publix Liquors to your home for a fee. The delivery should come within the hour, depending on your zipcode.

Publix says item prices vary from prices inside the stores, and service fees may apply. You can't buy liquor along with your groceries – you can do that separately at Publix Delivery. Obviously, you must be 21 years old and over to purchase anything.

Instacart is currently offering free delivery on your first intoxicating order over $10, so now is the time get your stock ready for the Thanksgiving weekend.
