Beginning Sunday, Oct. 15, for the first time ever, select Disney resorts will allow guests to bring their dogs.

Sorry, cat-lovers, maybe next year.

Today Disney announced that the Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside, Yacht Club, and Cabins at Fort Wilderness are all participating in the new dog-friendly policy, which allows guests to bring two furry friends per visit.

The policy includes a $50 per night per pet cleaning fee, except at the Yacht Club, where that fee is $75.

At check-in, you can expect some nifty pet supplies in "Pluto's Welcome Kit," including a bowl, an ID tag, and dog-walking maps.

Where those maps will take you, we can't say for sure. But Disney promises quick access to pet walking areas for all guests, as well as "pet relief areas." And yes, poop bags are included too.
