Good news for ORMC staff in need of caffeine: The old Mama B's Giant Subs space on the corner of South Orange Avenue and Annie Street will soon be home to a new Foxtail Coffee Co.

Upshot Capital Advisors, an asset-management and advisory firm headed by CEO and founder Raul Socarras, purchased the parcel of land at 1101 S. Orange Ave. and leased it last month to Foxtail Coffee Co. No word yet on whether Foxtail partners Alex Tchekmeian and Iain Yeakle plan on gutting the current structure and giving the exterior a refresh, or simply razing it to build a new coffeehouse.

Foxtail's rapid expansion campaign will see their Farmhouse concept open next door to the original Foxtail Coffee Co. on North Orange Avenue in Winter Park later this year, as well as a drive-thru locale in Altamonte Springs. Foxtail will also open in the Hourglass District and has plans to open out near UCF.

An opening date for the SoDo coffeehouse has not been released.
