Osceola County opens reception center for Hurricane Maria victims

A new reception center at Osceola Heritage Park is offering assistance to Hurricane Maria victims arriving from Puerto Rico.

The reception center will allow people to register and meet with members of the American Red Cross, Florida Department of Elder Affairs, Florida Department of Health, Florida Department of Children and Family, and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

The center is now open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week in Osceola Heritage Park’s Extension Services, Room 160.

The County is also opening an assistance line at 407-742-8598.
