The
Orlando Philharmonic is reviving its well-received "Women In Song" series for another run of engagements starting this month. "Women In Song" is a live, onstage collaboration between the musicians of the Orlando Phil with a stellar cast of women musicians from across genres that perhaps the Phil doesn't usually dabble in. This makes for an often unique and spontaneous listening experience.
Kicking off this second run is the duo of
Scottish harpist Maeve Gilchrist and percussive dancer Nic Gareiss - expect mix of improvisation and traditional music with all-out performance.
Maeve Gilchrist and Nic Gareiss play the Orlando Philharmonic’s "Women In Song" series on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. at the Plaza Live.
Tickets start at $22.
