Florida restaurant hosting NFL jersey burning party this Sunday

In response to football players bringing attention to racial injustice by kneeling during the national anthem, a Florida restaurant is offering a free hot dog to anyone willing to toss their NFL merchandise into a community bonfire.

Coney Island Drive-Inn in Brooksville, Florida, is hosting a "Celebration of Patriotism" this Sunday for anyone triggered enough by the image of people kneeling that they're willing to burn hundreds of dollars of merchandise for a "world famous footlong."

"There is a right and wrong way to show your displeasure," said owner John Lee to the Tampa Bay Times, "and turning your back on this country's values is the wrong way." 

"We want the opposite of what we saw on TV," continued Lee. "We want a display of patriotism shared by many people in this community."

The organizers also plan to collect donations for hurricane victims in Puerto Rico, so that's nice.
