Due to increasing demand as Hurricane Irma approaches, the City of Orlando has opened a second location where residents can pick up sandbags at the Camping World Stadium.

Sandbags are available Thursday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 8, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Camping World Stadium, at 1 Citrus Bowl Place, and the City of Orlando Streets and Stormwater Division, located at 1010 Woods Ave. The city will be giving out 10 free bags per address for people who are able to show proof of residence.

City officials recommend that people picking up sandbags from Camping World Stadium use the following routes:

- Coming from the West: Take Orange Center Boulevard east to Tampa Avenue. Head north on Tampa Avenue, then take a right into the stadium parking lot.

- Coming from the East: Take Gore Street to west (becomes Orange Center Boulevard) to Tampa Avenue. Head north on Tampa Avenue, then take a right into the stadium parking lot.

People picking up sandbags from City of Orlando Streets and Stormwater Division should use these directions to avoid the construction on West Gore Street:

- Coming from the South: Take South Westmoreland Drive north to Columbia Street. Head west on Columbia Street and then take a right to head north on Woods Avenue.

- Coming from the North: Take South Westmoreland Drive south to Columbia Street. Head west on Columbia Street and then take a right to head north on Woods Avenue.
