Grab your water bottles and sunscreen and finalize that audition piece because the American Idol bus is coming to Disney Springs in two weeks!

According to the Disney Parks blog, auditions with the show's producers will be held outdoors at Disney Springs (1486 Buena Vista Drive) on Thursday, Aug. 17.

Registration begins at 6 a.m., and will cut off at noon or sooner if full capacity is reached, so early arrival and pre-registration is advised. Audition participants must be 15 to 28 years of age, and those under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. More information about the event can be found at

After 15 seasons on Fox, American Idol will join ABC's line-up of entertainment/competition shows Dancing With the Stars and The Bachelor. Katy Perry signed on to be a celebrity judge back in May, and there is still no word on who her fellow judges will be. A few weeks ago, Ryan Seacrest was confirmed to return as the show's host.

You can submit a video through the online audition before Oct. 1 if you can't make it to the live auditions. There will also be a pop-up kiosk at Disney Springs until Sept. 15 where you can make and submit your audition video.

Stay up to date during the search for the next American Idol on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
