Disney World passholders with blackout dates will now be allowed into the parks a bit earlier than expected.

Disney sent out an email announcing that Silver-level passholders and anyone with a Weekday Select Pass can now enter all four Disney World parks as of Aug. 1., rather than Aug. 10.

Starting Thursday, passholders will be able to make FastPass+ selections for the updated blackout dates.

Disney's next blackout period for Select passes is Dec. 18 through Jan. 2.

In the email, Disney stated that the lifted black-out dates coincide with the eminent departure of both the Great Movie Ride and Ellen’s Energy Adventure, featuring Ellen DeGeneres.

But the loosening of these black-out dates seems to also coincide with a recent report showing attendance has declined at every Disney park except Shanghai, which is only roughly a year old. The report, which linked higher ticket prices with lower crowd numbers, looked at attendance from 2015 to 2016 and showed that the biggest decrease occurred in Paris, which took a 14 percent hit, reports the New York Times.

Here in Orlando, Disney World experienced only a slight .o5 percent dip in attendance, something that as only happened once in the past decade.

Disney has not stated whether or not the removed blackout dates are in relation to the decline in visitors, but the timing is certainly suspect.
