Today, Rufus Wainwright announced an Orlando concert set for early 2018 in an intimate theater venue, perfect for a performer whose latest album – Take All My Lives: 9 Shakespeare Sonnets – sets Shakespeare's words to music and whose second commissioned opera is set to debut this fall. (To say nothing of a healthy interest in the dark theatrics of Leonard Cohen and Judy Garland.)

Rufus Wainwright plays the Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $55 and go on sale this Friday, July 28, at noon.
