Scott Lahodik, a Florida man who was recently bitten by an alligator while diving for used golf balls, says he has decided to keep its severed head.

Lahodik, of Vero Lake Estates, was diving for golf balls on July 7 when he was bitten in the arm by a gator. Now, it would appear that Lahodik is keeping more than just the 400 staples in his arm.

"He wanted a trophy, so we called the trapper that caught the gator and he said he would donate it to our family so that my dad could have it," said Lahodik's daughter Kaelin to WINK News.

According to WINK, Lahodik still has another month of recovery ahead of him, but the gator’s head will be delivered in August after it goes to the taxidermist.
