Nationwide burlesque competition Florida Burlypicks comes to The Venue

The Venue, capital of the Central Florida burlesque scene, hosts the Florida Regional competition for Burlypicks, a nationwide burlesque variety competition. The competition welcomes dancers, musicians, clowns, magicians and whatever else in addition to traditional burlesque and striptease. Performers Blue Star and Franki Markstone, along with photographer Robert Castelli, judge who gets to advance to the world championship in Denver. 8 p.m. Friday; The Venue, 511 Virginia Drive; $15-$25; thevenueorlando.com
