LCD Soundsystem will play one show in Florida this year

Posted By on Mon, Jun 19, 2017 at 1:59 PM

LCD Soundsystem feels bad about missing III Points Festival last year, and they want to make it up to Floridians.

The band has scheduled just one Florida date on their American Dream Tour, and it's in Miami.

When Hurricane Matthew descended upon Florida in early October of last year, it left the band stranded, unable to play their headlining spot on the first night of the fest. Frontman James Murphy apologized in a post on their Facebook page, planning to "figure out something in Miami when we can."

The show, partially organized by III Points, will be held at the James L. Knight Center on Oct. 25. Presale tickets will be available June 20 at 10 a.m. to June 22 at 10 p.m., and regular tickets go on sale on June 23 at 10 a.m.

This will be their first show in Miami since 2010, and their new album, American Dream, will be their first since the same year.

So, maybe the later Florida date is a perfect storm.
