Pulse protester's wife sets up site to raise money for bail, and it backfires tremendously

Posted By on Fri, Jun 16, 2017 at 11:32 AM

Daniel Maguire, the protester who was arrested Monday, June 12, at the gay nightclub Pulse for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest, now has a crowdsourcing account to help pay for his bail.

Unfortunately for him, it's not going so well.

As of now, the Fundly account, which was set up by his wife Jasmine, has only garnered a single $1 donation.

However, in response to this, a counter GoFundMe account has also been set up in Maguire's name, with all the proceeds going to the OnePulse foundation.

So far, the "Love will triumph by Daniel Maguire" account has raised over $2,000.

Thanks, Mr. Maguire.
