You'll be tempted to head downtown on Friday for Cinco de Mayo — the bars on Wall Street and Church Street have been prepping for weeks.

But if you're looking for good grub and better beer, head a little further north to Fairbanks Avenue. You won't have to drive far off the exit to find what you're looking for.

Two of Winter Park's most delicious dives are planning big things for Friday night, and they're right across the street, so you can taco-hop to your heart's contentment.

4 Rivers Smokehouse is planning a patio party to run 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday. For $20, you'll get all-you-can-eat smokehouse-style Mexican fare (the tacos from the City Hall location are sure to be on the menu), margaritas, craft beer from Deadly Sins Brewing and live music. The Tamale Co. food truck is also going to be parked outside.

Across the street, at the original 4 Rivers location from days of yore, Hunger Street Tacos is throwing a shindig of their own. From 5 p.m. until midnight (family-friendly until 8 p.m.), the restaurant will have $10 buckets of Sol, an actual luchador with whom to snap a selfie, face painting, and specials on their tremendous tacos and other comida. Hunger Street isn't known for ease of parking, but they're making special accommodations for the evening, so vamos!
