While SeaWorld has been struggling to keep guests coming in the gates, across the street at Discovery Cove, those issues don’t seem to be nearly as bad. The high-end luxury day resort experience has become an industry high note, and now Disney looks to be interested in getting into the game.

Tom Corless of WDW News Today recently shared details of a new survey that might point to a new multi-day, fully immersive Star Wars-themed experience. The survey, sent out by, asked respondents their interest in a Star Wars starship-themed interactive theatrical attraction.

SwagBucks, an online polling site that pays respondents, has the same parent company as, which Disney has used for both ABC and ESPN surveys.

The survey included renderings of what the potential starship hotel suites may look like and gave details on what we could expect. According to WDW News Today, the three-day, the two-night experience would cost around $1,000 per person but, similar to Discovery Cove, would include all food and drinks while in the starship. The five meals provided include two breakfast buffets and evening dinner show entertainment.

Guests will experience an active and progressing storyline throughout their time at the hotel, similar to the When Shadows Fall experience that Pseudonym Productions put on last year, except the starship hotel features includes your typical resort amenities such as a fitness center and a pool. It’s expected that these areas of the resort will remain within the extensive theming featured in the concept art included in the survey.

During their stay guests will be sent on missions, if they choose to accept them, that will include access to the Star Wars land currently under construction at Hollywood Studios.

This lines up with details recently shared regarding the level of interactivity guests can expect in the new land. How a guest performs on the rides and with characters in the land will determine how other characters interact with the guest.

Disney has yet to comment on the rumored interactive upcharge attraction, but they have confirmed that the Star Wars-themed land will open in 2019. No word on if the new starship hotel, if happening, will open with the land or later on.
