Florida Congresswoman Corrine Brown (D) has been indicted on federal charges likely related to her involvement with an unregistered charity in Virginia, reports First Coast News

Since the indictments are sealed, the details pertaining to the charges have yet to be released, but it's a safe bet they have something to do with the Congresswoman's alleged connection to a Virginia-based group called "One Door for Education," which bilked donors out of about $800,000 by posing as a fake charity.

Back in March, The House Committee on Ethics launched an investigation after the Florida Times-Union released a brutal article suggesting a connection between Brown and the group.

Carla Wiley, the president of One Door for Education, has since entered a guilty plea of Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud charges

Brown is currently running for re-election in the newly drawn Fifth District, which now stretches from Jacksonville to west of Tallahassee.

More details are expected to be released tomorrow. But so far, Brown has yet to respond to multiple reports confirming that she will appear before a federal magistrate judge in Jacksonville Federal Court Friday afternoon.
